Science-based education on food safety for RI food handlers, including growers, processors, food industry workers and managers, educators, and consumers. more

Health and Wellbeing of Fish and Animals

Less stressful husbandry of domestic animals and fish. New ways to diagnose and treat stress-related diseases of cultured fish and shellfish, and vector-borne diseases of deer and cattle. more

Landscape Horticulture

Integrated ecosystem management, promoting economically profitable and socially desirable local agriculture and aquaculture. more

Natural Resources

Promoting biological and ecological understanding of diverse natural communities, and wise management of human activities that affect these ecosystems. more

Nutrition

The assessment of dietary risks and promoting the availability of healthy and alternative foods. Assuring an affordable and nutritious food supply for all. more

Sustainable and Nurturing Communities

Promoting safe and healthy sustainable human communities by social planning, environmental policy, and outreach. more
